National Drug Awards

The National Drug and Alcohol Awards are an annual event that encourage, recognise and celebrate achievements to prevent and reduce alcohol and other drug use and harm in Australia.

The Awards are open to all people and organisations that work in the alcohol, other drugs and related sectors.

The Awards are a collaborative effort of the Ted Noffs Foundation (TNF), the Alcohol and other Drugs Council of Australia (ADCA), the Australian Drug Foundation (ADF) and the Australian National Council on Drugs (ANCD).

Planning Your Activity

ADCA is pleased to cooperate with you and your organisation to educate the community about measures that reduce alcohol and drug-related harm. Start planning your activity now, promote your registered activity widely, and help us to get the message out there: DAW 2013 - Drugs, Communities and Families.

When planning your activity, think about what would be suitable for your target audience, the messages you would like to promote, and other organisations/ people that can help out. The wider you spread the message, the more people it will reach and the more support you will get to make your event a memorable one!

Advertise your event way in advance by putting up posters, handing out flyers, maybe placing an ad in the local paper - there are many ways to make the DAW 2013 campaign bigger and better than ever!

So let’s be creative for a good cause!

Drug Action Week (DAW) is an initiative of the Alcohol and other Drugs Council of Australia (ADCA) and funded by the Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA)
