With record support from all sectors of the Australian community for Drug Action Week (DAW) 2011, DAW promotional awareness stocks are NOW exhausted with 700 events registered across Australia.
While new registrations won’t receive promotional packs, please NOTE that additional registrations will be recorded to provide a comprehensive overview of the involvement of participants, and assist us to plan for DAW 2012.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Alcohol and other Drugs Council of Australia (DACA), Mr David Templeman, said the overwhelming response to DAW 2011 was beyond all expectations and event organisers across all sectors of the community are to congratulated.
“A national awareness campaign like DAW couldn’t be achieved without the financial support of the Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA) and ADCA will be seeking further support to deliver an even more successful awareness campaign in 2012,” Mr Templeman said.
Prospective event organisers are reminded that they can still access information materials by logging onto the DAW website at www.drugactionweek.org.au where the 30-second Community Safety Announcement, seven DAW alcohol and other drugs Fact Sheets, and DAW poster can be accessed and downloaded
